Due to the high number of requests to sign up for the Lisbon trip (much more than we anticipate! thank you all for the interest), we decided to start registration again and give everyone a fairer chance. So, instead of the Google form, we will start ticket sales TOMORROW (18.02.2022) at 10.00 AM ON THE WEBSITE! This way, everyone has a chance to prepare beforehand. Tickets will still be sold first come first serve, the registrations the Google forms will not be taken into account. Make sure to be on time tomorrow morning and buy the tickets as soon as they’re out to join us on this super fun trip!
We will be taking direct flights to and from Lisbon. On the flights, we do not have any checked baggage included, however, we are allowed to take two pieces of cabin baggage – one under seat bag (backpack, handbag, etc.) of maximum 40x20x30 cm and one overhead bag of a maximum of 10 kg and 55x40x20 cm.
We will be staying in the “Urban Garden Hostel,” very close to the city center. We will be staying in bunk beds in dormitories (there might be people not from our group staying in your dormitory, beds will be randomly allocated between our members).
The ticket includes 15 euros uploaded on a public transportation card. We believe this will be enough for 5 days, but if you find out you need more — you are free to top the card up with more money!
The ticket visits to the city castle, to the westernmost point of continental Europe, the viewpoint of the whole city, and to the museum of traditional music. Additionally, we will be going to the beach and visiting different areas of the city with bars, restaurants, etc. — these are not included in the price but of course, you can choose to eat/drink whatever you want throughout the whole trip! We are also planning to go to the fashion and design museum “MUDE,” but everyone will have to buy tickets on the spot when we get there — we don’t think these will be too expensive.
The trip will include 4 visits to companies that either work on Communication or to the communication departments of companies in other fields. The content of these visits will be up to the companies, but it usually takes 1 to 2 hours, including a tour of the company and a detailed description of the work they do. We currently have some visits confirmed and are working on some others! We’ll send a full list closer to the trip.
We will always adhere to the Covid-19 measures in the Netherlands and in Portugal. Currently, to enter Portugal, it is mandatory to hold one of these certificates:
– A valid vaccination EU Digital COVID Certificate (with a complete vaccination schedule or with a complete vaccination schedule and a vaccine booster)
– Or a valid test or recovery EU Digital COVID Certificate,
– Or a valid vaccination certificate (with a complete vaccination schedule or a vaccine booster) or recovery certificate issued by a third country, under reciprocal conditions: Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Benin, Cabo Verde, El Salvador, Faroe Islands, Georgia, Israel, Iceland, Jordan, Lebanon, Liechtenstein, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Morocco, New Zealand, North Macedonia, Norway, Panama, San Marino, Serbia, Singapore, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Tunisia, Togo, Turkey, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and the Crown Dependencies (Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man), Uruguay, The Vatican.
To enter museums and similar locations, Mandatory EU Covid Digital Certificate in all modes or complete vaccination certificate or negative RT-PCR test (valid for 72h) or Rapid negative antigen test (valid for 24h) are mandatory.

All members are expected to meet the standards, either through vaccination, recovery, or test certificates. We will communicate with you if there are any changes to the measures.
In the unfortunate event that our trip is canceled due to Covid reasons, you will get a full refund.
In the unfortunate event that someone tests positive for Covid right before the trip, they will get a refund if they can provide us with a positive test result with their full name on it.
In the unfortunate event that someone tests positive for Covid during the trip, Mercurius will try to cover possible costs for quarantine and rearranging of flights, however, if this affects more than one person and we cannot cover all of it — we will ask the members that have to stay behind to pay for the rest.
Payment and canceling
The ticket including everything mentioned above costs 359.74 Euros. After paying, you are able to refund your ticket until the 15th of April, however, since we will have already booked under your name, we will need to find a new person to take over your spot and you will have to pay for the name changes on the flights and hostel. Ticket sales will start tomorrow (18.02.2022) at 10.00 AM on the website. The tickets will go to whoever first buys them!
