Study Trip to Stockholm

This summer, Mercurius organises a study trip to Stockholm! From July 21st to July 28th we will visit the beautiful capital of Sweden with a group of 25 students and you can still sign up to join this amazing trip!

Stockholm is often called Venice of the North, and it is not hard to see why. The city is made up of 14 islands and is full of boats, bridges and harbours. Wherever you look, there is water. And since it is so clean, you can jump into the water at any time if you need some refreshment while exploring the city! Stockholm has a very creative, relaxed and trendy atmosphere, which you can see in its music, food and fashion. There are tons of cool restaurants and cafes, and there is even such a thing as ‘Taco Friday’.

Since this is a study trip, we will also do a lot of fun, educational things, such as company visits. We will for example visit the office of Happy Socks and the University of Stockholm. In addition, we will do a research, which will consist of a scientific photo project. If you join the trip, you will receive more information about the research later on. Of course we will also have a lot of free time that can be spent doing whatever you want! The city has something to offer for everyone: cool restaurants and nightclubs? Check! Opportunities for sports activities such as kayaking? Check! A wide selection of museums and galleries? Check! Medieval old town? Check! A huge street for all your shopping needs? Check! We could go on but you get the picture.

The trip costs €395,- including transport (flights and local transport) and accommodation. We will be staying in the M/S Birger Jarl hostel, which is located on a boat in Södermalm, the hipster centre of Stockholm. There are different room sizes and do not worry, there’s WiFi.

If you are interested in joining us on this trip you can send an email to [email protected] before April 24th 23:59 with a short motivation (about 100 words), telling us why you would like to come. And if you are still not convinced, you can check out the tips we have posted on the trip’s Facebook page or ask one of the board members for more information. You can come by our office, room C0.11, between 11:00 – 14:00 or you can send an email to [email protected].

We hope to see you in Stockholm!
